Terms and Conditions
Version 1.0 · effective 27 July 2026
The rules of using iNEED.PARTS — what we do, what we do not do, and what each side is responsible for.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and iNEED.PARTS. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use the service on behalf of a business, you confirm that you may bind that business, and “you” means both you and the business.
Read them together with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Refund and Credits Policy. They form part of this agreement.
2. What the service is
iNEED.PARTS is an introduction service. Buyers describe a vehicle part they need. We turn that description into a structured request and show it to suppliers in the same country. Suppliers may respond with quotes.
We are not a party to any sale. We do not own, inspect, warrant, store, ship, or guarantee any part. We are not an agent for either side. Any contract for a part is between the buyer and the supplier, and any dispute about price, condition, fitment, delivery, payment or warranty is between them.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and provide accurate details.
- One person, one account. Suppliers add colleagues through team invitations rather than sharing a login.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password secret. Tell us immediately if you suspect someone else has access.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches this agreement or the Acceptable Use Policy, or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.
4. Buyers
- Free to use. You do not pay to post a request or to receive quotes.
- Describe the part honestly. A request that is fabricated, duplicated to waste supplier credits, or used to advertise, is a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Your name, email address and mobile number are hidden from suppliers until a supplier spends credits to unlock your request. After that, the unlocking supplier can contact you through the platform.
- You choose whether to accept a quote. Check the part, the price and the supplier before you pay anyone.
5. Suppliers
- Suppliers preview matching requests at no cost and spend credits to unlock the buyer’s contact details, chat, and send quotes.
- Quotes must be genuine, must reflect the part you actually have, and must include price and condition accurately.
- You are responsible for your own legal compliance, including the lawful origin of every part you offer, second-hand goods and scrap metal legislation, your tax obligations, and any consumer guarantees you owe the buyer under the Consumer Protection Act.
- Team members act for the supplier account they belong to, and the account owner is responsible for what they do.
- Pausing a supplier account stops new leads reaching it; it does not cancel obligations already owed to a buyer.
6. Credits
Credits are a prepaid unit of account used to unlock leads and send quotes. They are not money, not a deposit, not transferable between accounts, and carry no cash value outside the platform. Prices are shown in South African Rand and include VAT where it applies. Credits do not expire while your account is open. Refunds are governed by the Refund and Credits Policy.
7. Verification, reviews and vouches
- A “Verified by iNEED.PARTS” badge means we checked identifying information the supplier gave us at a point in time. It is not a guarantee of the supplier’s conduct, solvency, stock or workmanship.
- Reviews may only be left by a buyer whose lead that supplier quoted on, after a quote was accepted. Reviews are shown anonymously.
- Vouches are community signals from other users and are not verified by us.
- We may remove a review, vouch or badge that is fraudulent, retaliatory, unlawful, or obtained by inducement.
8. Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store it, display it to the users who are meant to see it, and process it as described in the Privacy Policy, for as long as we need to run and improve the service. You confirm you have the right to upload the content — including any photograph you attach.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may launch or withdraw countries. Where a change materially reduces what you have already paid for, the Refund and Credits Policy applies.
10. Liability
Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act.
Subject to that:
- We provide the service “as is”. We do not warrant that any request will receive a quote, that any quote is accurate, or that any supplier or buyer is suitable or trustworthy.
- We are not liable for loss arising from a transaction between a buyer and a supplier, for a part that is faulty, incorrect, undelivered or unlawfully obtained, or for a payment made outside the platform.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data.
- Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 6 months before the claim, or R1 000.
11. Indemnity
You indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of this agreement, your unlawful conduct, or a dispute between you and another user.
12. Ending this agreement
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time — see the Data Deletion Policy. We may end this agreement on notice, or immediately for a serious breach. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including liability, indemnity and governing law — do survive it.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. If you do not accept a change, stop using the service and ask for a refund of unspent credits under the Refund and Credits Policy.
14. Governing law
South African law governs this agreement. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts. Nothing stops you from approaching the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or another statutory body where that route is open to you.
