Cookie and Tracking Policy

Version 1.0 · effective 27 July 2026

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. We do not run advertising trackers.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage — do much the same job. This policy covers all of them.

2. What we use

Strictly necessary — always on

PurposeWhat it does
SessionKeeps you signed in between pages. Set when you log in, cleared when you log out or the session expires.
SecurityProtects forms against cross-site request forgery, so someone else’s site cannot act as you.
PreferencesRemembers small interface choices, such as your language, so the app looks the same next visit.

These cannot be switched off inside the app. Without them you cannot sign in. Under South African law we do not need your consent for cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for.

Not used

We do not currently run advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, social media trackers, or third-party analytics that profile you. If that changes, we will update this page, note the change in the app, and ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.

3. Third parties that see your request

Even without tracking cookies, some providers necessarily see your traffic:

  • our network and security provider, which routes requests, filters abuse, and tells us which country an IP address is in;
  • our hosting provider, whose server logs record IP address, browser type and the pages requested.

Both process this on our behalf, not for their own advertising.

4. Controlling cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its settings, and offers a private browsing mode that clears them on exit. Blocking our session cookie will sign you out and prevent you from signing back in. Browser “Do Not Track” and “Global Privacy Control” signals do not change what we do, because we do not track you across sites in the first place.

5. Changes

We will update this page whenever we add or remove a cookie category. The effective date at the top tells you when it last changed.
